Monday Again

Happy Monday :)

I had a pretty good weekend. I took Friday off so that I could spend a few hours taking care of my Mother-In-Law. She had her first chemo treatment on Friday and it took longer than expected. She got home late so I didn't end up seeing her after all. The treatment really knocked her out. According to my Father-In-Law she slept the rest of the day and all through the night.

Friday night my husband logged onto SL with me and we had a virtual date. The first thing I did was buy him a pair of Moopf roller skates. It was fun skating all over creation with him. We were showing off our trick jumps and racing each other. I won...of course I didn't tell him that you go faster if you hit ctrl "R"...lol. We went back to our condo to change, and while we were there we decided to test drive our new "Lovescene" pose balls. Oh yeah....very nice :P

Later we spiffied up our avatars and went dancing at The Blue Note. He surprised me by totally LOVING it. One of these days when we can afford a real date, I think he is inspired enough to (finally) take me dancing. After dancing, we spent a little "Devotion" time by the bonfire on Blue Note's beach, then we went to Phat Cats to tango. I enjoyed introducing hubby to more of SL, we both had a good time.

Saturday my Mom came over with treats for the kids, then she took us out to lunch. She spoils us rotten...I guess that's what grandmas are for though. :)

After Emmy's nap, she got on the computer with me and helped me turn one of my SL avis into a child. Emmy had a lot of fun helping my little one play. We did the amusement park at the Inner Child Depot, the playground at Daddy Dave's Daycare Center, splashed in a blow up pool and flew around on Pegasus. She also had a giggle fit over a kid gesture I had in my inventory...it sang a silly little song and did a dance that she was just goofy about. I think I played it for her around 50 times and she laughed each time as if she had never heard it before. "You're my sugar plum, pumpy umpy umpkin, you're my sweetie pie...you're my cuppy cake, schnukum, schnukum sure, the apple of my eye". That song will never get out of my head! It was so much fun watching Emmy laugh...she is my sunshine :)

Sunday we went to church and hung out around the house. My girl's school has a fall carnival every year, complete with rides, games and live music. My Mom gave me some money to take the girls there. Kathleen decided not to go so I took Emmy Sunday evening. The weather was BEAUTIFUL. In the low 70's and breezy. The cool air is such a welcome respite from the heat and humidity we normally have.

Anyway, Emmy and I had a ball going on all the rides together. There were only four that she wasn't big enough to go on. She is a little daredevil speed demon. The higher and faster the ride is, the more she likes it. Her favorites were the Tilt-A-Whirl, the Octopus and the Dragons (kind of like the teacup ride at Disney).

After all the rides we HAD to share a funnel cake...can't go to a carnival without having at least one...it's the law. Or it should be! Kids are so spontaneous, so quick to show their joy and excitement. I had so much fun watching Emmy's face while we were at the carnival...her eyes were wide with excitement, she kept a huge, happy smile on her face the whole time, she laughed her head off on the rides and she bounced instead of walked. Her exuberance is a beautiful thing...children are such a gift.

Sunday night I spent a little time at the yard. Q is happy because he finally heard from ZZ. She's finally home from the hospital, and she was able to log in for a little bit. It will be a while before she's a regular again though...she's still weak and requires a lot of rest. After a bit Hubby logged in again so we did some exploring together. It was late though so we weren't on long.

All in all it was a great weekend :)

Have a super day...
