I had a pretty good weekend, how about you?

In RL I went to the Florida Botanical Garden to see their Christmas light display. We go every year, it's simply beautiful (even if it is palm trees and sand!). The garden is on several acres, and there are three or four inter-connected ponds. The lights reflecting on the water are especially beautiful. It was bright enough that we even saw a gator in one of the ponds :)

Last night we went to a Christmas concert at my FIL's church. The concert was beautifully done. The Brass Quintet from the Florida Orchestra were guest accompanists and they were incredible. My FIL narrated the Christmas story in between songs. He has such a deep, rich, baritone voice. He did a fantastic job with the narration. The choir sang beautifully as they always do, and the concert ended with the Hallelulia Chorus. I love that chorus...it is so powerful.

Onto SL....

Friday night Travis and I explored the funniest sim. Amiticia created wacked out snowmen that reminded me of the ones in the Calvin and Hobbs cartoons...they were hysterical! You HAVE to go look at them...it's mandatory. Travis is a bit of a shopping whore, so we spent the rest of the evening window shopping.

Saturday morning Emmy wanted to play so I dusted off my child avi and we explored the Christmas Village on Ramos Isle and Winterland. Briggy got her picture taken on Santa's lap too. She's been a VERY good girl, so she should get LOTS of goodies this year. LOL

Saturday I hung out with my friend Travis quite a bit, the Saturday night, Sofia and I decided to wreak havoc on the world. We skated all over Intemptesta Nox and Acropolis. Metal joined us after a bit and the three of us had a good time hanging out (like we always do). Somehow we all got initiated into the Cult of H Saturday night. I have no clue what that is or what it means though :)

Sunday night I was exploring Caledon and I ran into Faust there. He showed me the Kennel Club. OMG, that was the coolest thing! They have dogs you can purchase that are programmed to follow your commands. They can fetch a ball, come to you, roll over, play dead, shake hands, wag their tails, jump fences, sniff...all kinds of things. I'm going to save up for one...they are REALLY cool. While we were playing with the dogs, Metal logged in. He and I met Mir at Intemptesta Nox to do a little shopping. The three of us ended up in a bathtub together (fully clothed). Remind me to give you a copy of the pics. They are pretty funny. Mir took off so Metal and I explored the sim some and went dancing in The Basement Club there. Iron would just DIE! They have a really cool CIGAR store.
